I got this book as a gift, but I'm tempted to pick up another copy to keep。 It's a beautifully illustrated book about life on Earth, in all of its beauty and complexity。 One of my favorite children's books I've come across so far。 I got this book as a gift, but I'm tempted to pick up another copy to keep。 It's a beautifully illustrated book about life on Earth, in all of its beauty and complexity。 One of my favorite children's books I've come across so far。 。。。more
Danielle,
Jeffers is a master illustrator and this semi-scientific introduction to Planet Earth (written for his newborn child) is a testament to his skill and attention to detail。 The information is familiar but presented in a fresh and endearing way。 Each page is full of character details and funny notes that accompany the main text。 The story starts out zoomed out in the universe and ends narrowed down to one individual life form。 My favorite picture book thus far of 2021。

خوانش: در آخرین روز اولین ماه بهار دو صفر!。واقعا دوستش نداشتم و اصلا هم نمیدونم چرابهترین بخشش برای من تصویرسازیهاش بود، بجز اون جذبم نکرد
Emily Minott,
I Loved this book。 I think it is such a fun way to help kids get a grasp of really big concepts that can seem abstract and tough to think about。
Angel,
SO CUTE!!!!I love Jeffers' cute and simple, yet detailed illustrations。 I cannot stop looking at them。 Nice little book to inform little ones about our planet。 A very nice little reminder to take care of our planet and each other。 :) SO CUTE!!!!I love Jeffers' cute and simple, yet detailed illustrations。 I cannot stop looking at them。 Nice little book to inform little ones about our planet。 A very nice little reminder to take care of our planet and each other。 :) 。。。more
Meg,
Some fantastic pictures which could encourage a lot of discussion, and give children lots things to look out for on each page。The story itself is is lovely introduction to the planet we live on, and how life itself works。
Nolan Brendel,
I liked it because it was kind of funny and it was educational。
Jackie Leierer,
I loved this! I'm a huge fan of the illustrations and little tidbits throughout。 Definitely fun for parents to read。 My little one followed along and we pointed to colors and planets together。 Probably better for older kids and not toddlers, but we enjoyed it。 I loved this! Lovely book to read to your children and remind them of where they’re standing。 Simple, sweet and moving。

This is a gift I got for my nephew 4th birthday this year。 He seems like he'll be a very inquisitive soul, so I'm hoping he'll enjoy this book about our planet and that it will have him eager to learn more。From my read, this was very enjoyable。 Its a beautifully crafted picture book, but could have done with so more text/facts。 Nevertheless, it gave a little bit of information to go and get readers to discover more。Pick it up, give it a go and enjoy!>(^_^)(^_^)
Graziela,
Oliver Jeffers is a true artist。 This book is such a piece of sensitive art, I cry every single time I read it。 I'm not a parent but I'm an educator and those words are everything I want to say to my children, let's take care of our planet, and most importantly, of each other。 Thank you Oliver for this amazing book! Holly,
A beautiful, beautiful book 💕
Verónica Fleitas Solich,
So sweet and simple。I believe that the message of a father to his son transcends to become a reminder for all of us, of what he is worth in life, of the axis from which we distance ourselves in the end of complying with obligations, standards and other noise with which we fill our existence 。
Nhi,
Reminds me how beautiful this work is and how luck I am to be living in it。 My problems seem insignificant in comparison to the scope of the world and I should always keep perspective。
Divya Subramanian,
As a first time parent, this book resonates much of the writer's feelings。 I love that there is so much to talk about on each page with my daughter。 The conversations change with each milestone and we have been able to read this book from 6 months thru 3 yrs now :) This is a book close to my heart。 As a first time parent, this book resonates much of the writer's feelings。 I love that there is so much to talk about on each page with my daughter。 The conversations change with each milestone and we have been able to read this book from 6 months thru 3 yrs now :) This is a book close to my heart。 。。。more

Super Cute! Loved the illustrations and the read-along ebook was such a fun format!
michele,
An average read。 I enjoyed the illustrations and how they provided opportunities to play "can you find the。。。?" or to discuss other things。 But overall I felt other books with the same concept of introducing Earth to others were more enjoyable。 An average read。 I enjoyed the illustrations and how they provided opportunities to play "can you find the。。。?" or to discuss other things。 But overall I felt other books with the same concept of introducing Earth to others were more enjoyable。 。。。more
Mafaz Ali,
Haven’t been a fan of the Oliver Jeffers books I’ve read recently but I loved this one。 The illustrations are amazing and so detailed。 His awe-inspiring art portrays what he feels is important for his child to know about life。 His words are few and message subtle。 Planet earth, the starry sky and universe, the land and sea。 Humanity in all its shapes, sizes, and colors, land and sea animals in all shapes, sizes, colors。 A message to be kind to others, to one’s body, and to “look after the earth, Haven’t been a fan of the Oliver Jeffers books I’ve read recently but I loved this one。 The illustrations are amazing and so detailed。 His awe-inspiring art portrays what he feels is important for his child to know about life。 His words are few and message subtle。 Planet earth, the starry sky and universe, the land and sea。 Humanity in all its shapes, sizes, and colors, land and sea animals in all shapes, sizes, colors。 A message to be kind to others, to one’s body, and to “look after the earth, as it’s all we’ve got。” 。。。more

Emily Grindstaff,
I purchased this book at Target thinking it would be a cute addition for my classroom in the future as I love Oliver Jeffers work in The Day The Crayons Quit and The Day the Crayons Came Home。 This book absolutely should have been a Caldecott winner。 In this tale, we see the typical print and illustration style of Oliver Jeffers, but there are so many different colors and detailed illustrations that are not present in the books he did with Drew Daywalt。 There are several illustrations of the oce I purchased this book at Target thinking it would be a cute addition for my classroom in the future as I love Oliver Jeffers work in The Day The Crayons Quit and The Day the Crayons Came Home。 This book absolutely should have been a Caldecott winner。 In this tale, we see the typical print and illustration style of Oliver Jeffers, but there are so many different colors and detailed illustrations that are not present in the books he did with Drew Daywalt。 There are several illustrations of the oceans, galaxies, planets, and people。 This book is from a loving perspective of a father to a son, though, it could be to students as well。 There are beautiful and bright colors in areas that are typically monochromatic in color, and there are beautiful color gradients on the ocean and I was astounded。 I read this book sitting in front of a window and I got to see them in full color。 I am thrilled to share this with the class。 。。。more

Here We Are is such a great book to read to learn about so many things! It teaches kids about Earth, space, people, animals, etc。 It teaches that people are different that it okay, and to enjoy time spent on this beautiful planet。 I am for sure putting this on my book list for my future classroom。

Shelli,
A perfect picture book to share with young children all about things one should know about this amazing place we live and share with all kinds of people and animals, planet Earth。 If the message behind this read could be summarized in one word it would be KINDNESS。 Kindness to others, to animals, to our planet and to ourselves because there is only so much time and space, so we might as well use it well。
Carly Hales,
Wonderful pictures and lovely message。
Sanja_Sanjalica,
Wonderfully illustrated and so warm and full of love。 A great gift for everyone, not just children。
